Katie, while I agree with the idea of a "social contract" I think a more powerful message is a "social covenant."

Let’s be clear, taking on the MAGA trump republicans and their gutting of America is what’s needed. However, as a Native New Yorker also from the Bronx, I am appalled to learn you have not endorsed Mamdani. Why is that? Mamdani won fair and square and received 56% of the New York votes from LGBTQ+, Asian, Jewish, African American, Latino and white communities, so what’s the problem in not endorsing him? Mamdani stands for affordability, Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and strengthening labor unions including improving the well being of all New Yorkers.

Don’t you believe in the same principles? Instead, you and your Democratic leadership, such as Rep. Jeffries and others decided to use that prestigious airtime to smear their own candidate, Zohran Mamdani, and repeat baseless lies against him.

A question to you, please clarify or explain to me how trump’s racist, xenophobic and economic expansion lowering the price of eggs, milk, bread is bettering the economy for Americans? Or ignoring the rule of law? How are these trump white nationalist actions improving America?

Focus on these issues, not pulling down fellow democrats and a person who cares.

The Continuing Resolution is a healthcare travesty on the least of our citizens. We exclude the poor and the marginalized from access. Did I say the marginalized? Who has marginalized in a free democracy and the wealthiest country in the world? Why are they marginalized?Racism kills, both fast and slow. If it weren't so sad, seeing rich people decide how much to allow poor people to have, is a true-life comedy in real life! The bad actors for gov banding together for their own personal gain! WTF- ?????!

HOW do you win back the house? What is the game plan? So many of these maga states that will be hurt by medicaid cuts, but unless these conservative voting republicans don't get the message about the cuts coming AFTER the 2026 election, you won't get their votes.

You All Need A United Message That You Hammer On.

Thanks, Katie and Congressman Torres. I always question my judgment, and in this case my criticism of those Americans have chosen to represent us. I've been extremely critical of Republicans and Democrats, even calling for a new political party (definitely not Musk's America Party!). I've repeatedly called you Dems "complicit" and "corrupt" and ineffective ... If I offend those of you in Congress that are doing superhuman feats in this moment, I apologize. This is the 3rd or 4th video I've watched of you, Rep. Torres. You come across as dedicated and sincere and I thank you for all that you do. And that goes for any and all of your colleagues that have the interests of your constituents, this country. and the world at heart. From now on, I will try to be more measured, considerate. That's not to say that I'll be a brown-noser. I'm an analyst with a penchant for looking for and finding solutions. We, all of us, need to find answers quick and put them in place. This is my goal. I want to be of service. And, like many, I constantly ask, how can I help.

You need to sell it....not just inform. The regime communicates by selling their ideas, not just talking about it. Dems need to EVOKE an EMOTIONAL RESPONSE, a call to action, amongst the public. Don't put people to sleep just by informing. Beat the regime at their own game!!
