it's gonna take cash. people can't afford to get arrested, or pay lawyers...without knowing someone or some org will have their back.... The intimidation of ICE is horrifying ... My daughters have a wonderful housekeeper that they pay not to come to work so she won't get picked up....she has 3 kids.... imagine what would happen to her world if she got kidnapped..there needs to be a mechanism that will actively pursue defending them if they get taken by ICE

We're old and childless, but we have always wanted to leave the world a better place than we found it. With all of the horrible things happening worldwide, I doubt we can do this.

Regarding midterm voting wondering that some of the worst parts of this ,bill doesn’t take effect till after the midterms will people still be as upset as they are now? Think this will be the hardest part for Dems to keep on message
Christine, I'm hoping this messaging can become some of the "little things everyone can do" starting now, certainly, but continuing in the entire lead up. Rebut all misinformation, instantly and repeatedly, and keep reannouncing the upcoming horrors: "I know we are all hearing about the millions of people that will lose their Medicaid coverage, but they need to know how they can start planning for it now - - Even though their final last payments won't be until ... month/date/ 2027? ... they should go to ... agency website ... that can help them prepare. Of course, that means SOMEBODY will need to read the damned OMBBA to figure out what and when stuff is going to happen and that "agencies" and "websites" will be set up to help. Is that all in the states now? Who will be helping? and NO!!! Don't tell me The Democrats will do it!!! It will need to be done by WE, THE PEOPLE (who hopefully will encourage Democrats, the formerly-known-as Republicans, and ANY OTHER group that sees the need!!!!!)
Sadly, Shishi, Project 2025 is just about the same number of pages in length as the OMBBA - - I can promise you - - NOBODY has read the whole thing (although the Parliamentarian probably came closest).
Nicolle Wallace and a few others were reading out parts of Project 2025 and talking about the horrible effects before the election. I think they need to go back to doing that! Now that we have proof that it's being carried out!
As an Ohioan, our two senators are disgraceful who bought their seats. Bernie Moreno smeared Sherrod Brown horribly. Jon Husted was appointed by the Republican governor after JD Vance seat was purchased by Peter Thiel and he became VP. It's exhausting being an Ohioan and we're not going back.
