WHO: I’m Katie Phang and before I was a TV show host, I was a trial lawyer for many, many years. As in, a lawyer who actually tried cases to verdict. Bench trials and jury trials. But especially jury trials. I LOVED jury trials. We, trial lawyers, are a different breed. Because there’s nothing quite like trying a case. Other lawyers may talk about the law, but knowing your way around a courtroom is a whole different ballgame.

After juggling being a lawyer and a legal contributor for many years, I was ultimately offered the chance to do TV (full-time) as the host of “The Katie Phang Show” on MSNBC. So, I ran with that…for 3+ incredible years. As a legal correspondent, I also was in the courthouses, across the country, for some of the biggest cases that our nation has encountered. I had a front-row seat to history and embraced the responsibility of being your eyes and ears inside of those courtrooms.

Now? I’m taking the fight for democracy back to the courtroom and to independent media. My currency is facts and evidence, and I’m not going to hold back on sharing my insight and opinions with you.

You’ll get an insider’s view into some of the most important cases that are being fought right now against the Trump Administration as Convicted Felon, Donald Trump, tries to destroy the norms and institutions of our great nation.

WHY: Because the truth matters. Because we cannot let democracy die without a fight. Because the battles are being waged in the courtroom, but also in the court of public opinion. So I’m taking what I’ve learned over several years as a trial lawyer and after earning my stripes in the media to places where you’ll be able to get the unvarnished truth. Because I’ve got A LOT to say, and I want to be able to share it with you without fear or favor.
